Re: Shutdown not working with scheduler - NOT SOLVED

I spoke too soon. Having had a solid week of the system shutting down as expected, I've just had a solid week of it not shutting down! Nothing has changed - except a Windows update. I've just rechecked in Task Scheduler and found that 'run with highest privileges' was unchecked and that the 'configu...

Re: Shutdown not working with scheduler - SOLVED

I thought I'd provide an update in case it helps others trying to do the same thing. I did ensure that the 'scheduled task (was) configured to run with highest privileges' as per Adrian's suggestion. I still couldn't get the laptop to shutdown after a successful back-up either using the in-built <sh...

Shutdown not working with scheduler - NOT SOLVED

I have two identical back-up jobs. One is scheduled (due to start at 23:59:00) the other is manual. When i run the manual job the computer is shutdown upon success - as per the job properties. This is despite me logging out (using the windows key+L) and leaving the PC to it. When the same job is ini...

Command line questions

Hi, I currently have B4A v7.5 and am trying to get my head around using the command line. Background: I currently have three jobs (let's call them 'local ftp', 'onedrive' and 'Gdrive') which i use on rolling basis. When i leave my home office in the evening instead of shutting down I initiate the ap...

Re: OneDrive link broken?

I'm pleased to report that, following some direct correspondence with support, they have supplied me with a version of Backup4all (v7.4 build 475) which has resolved these issue for both OneDrive and Goggle Drive.

Top effort chaps. Thanks.

Re: OneDrive link broken?

Funnily enough, after having not tried onedrive since the post, I tried it again last night. It worked - the PC was shut down (shuts down on success) and the log files indicated success!). This is with V7.4 build 461. I can only assume something changed in the build. However, when i opened Backup4al...

Re: Backup4all can't shut down PC via scheduled task

I had exactly the same problem last year. You can see the thread under the title 'Btray and Shutdown'.

In the end i used a workaround. I created a 'shutdown.bat' and run that.

My shutdown.bat is a simple text file with one line: shutdown -s -f -t 15 -c "shutting down"

It works!

Re: OneDrive and Google Drive link broken?

An update: Overnight I backed up to Goggle Drive. Having set-up the Goggle Drive account via 'File --> Options --> online destinations'. Running the backup seemed fine. This morning I noticed that the PC hadn't shut down (as it should do upon the successful completion of a backup) and i was being pr...

OneDrive link broken?

Hi, have successfully in the past backed up to OneDrive without an issue - most recently 22nd July. However, I recently came back from an extended holiday and find that the onedrive backup is no longer working and i wonder if an upgrade has broken it. I'm currently running Backup4all Professional 7....
