This issue has been resolved by Backup4All support - first class service. While two options to correct the issue were offered the simplest was to delete all scheduled tasks for Backup4All in the task scheduler (via the Control Panel) after first closing Backup4All and then simply reinstate them from...

I have been trying for several days to add a schedule to a newly created backup set. If I run the backup set manually everything works fine.
