Re: FTP Mirror

Hi,

If the backup was not performed with Backup4all, the files cannot be recognized. They will be backed up again.

Re: Existing Mirror

Hi,

Backup4all cannot do that. It used its own backup catalog, storing information about the backed up files.
That catalog is used to manage the backup, re-create the job or restore the files.

Re: testing stall

Hi,

Do you have the latest version of Backup4all 4.6.260?
Please send us to support[at]backup4all[dot]com the following files:
- the last backup log from View->Job Logs->Last backup log.
- the .bkc catalog file from View->Open Folder->Destination folder.
Put both files into a zip archive.

These options are located in Backup Properties->Incremental page. We are already working to implement more f...

Re: restoring backup from external harddrive

Hi,

On the computer where you installed Backup4all, please open the .bkc catalog file from destination.
The backup job will be recreated in Backup4all. Press Restore and select a location for restore.

Hi,

Please open Backup Properties->Advanced.
Uncheck the "Store temporary catalog data in memory" option.
Press Save and run again the backup.
Do you still have the problem?

Re: Incremental Backup - What would happen if....

Hi,

Yes, the subsequent backups can use the modified attribute again. You just need to enable it under Backup Properties.
