Please note we do not compare the source files with the files in destination, we compare the source files with the information stored in catalog about the files already backed up.

Hi,

I need to see the log file for a backup execution with the problem you described. You can find the previous backup logs if you go to View->Job Logs->Open Log Folder.

Hi,

It seems the NAS drive reports a different size of date information about those files. That is why Backup4all consider the files are modified and needs to be backed up. Please configure correctly the NAS drive.

If the backup was not performed with Backup4all, the files cannot be recognized. They will be backed up again.

Hi,

Backup4all cannot do that. It used its own backup catalog, storing information about the backed up files.
That catalog is used to manage the backup, re-create the job or restore the files.

Do you have the latest version of Backup4all 4.6.260?
Please send us to support[at]backup4all[dot]com the following files:
- the last backup log from View->Job Logs->Last backup log.
- the .bkc catalog file from View->Open Folder->Destination folder.
Put both files into a zip archive.
