Re: SQL error "SELECT Count(FileVersionId) FROM FileVersions" - disk I/O error, disk I/O error (SQL81)

Hi, As the previous replies on this post, I am asking you if you use the safely remove hardware tool before unplugging the USB drive? That is because almost all users having this problem, were not using the safely remove hardware tool. After they used it, the problem was solved. After the scan drive...

Re: Filter | Customize

Hi, You made a mistake when configuring the filter. You must NOT put the file extensions one after another: "*.bin,*.cab,*.iso,*.msi,*.rar,*.tar,*.zip,*7z" You should press Add, type a file extension, press OK. Then repeat the steps: press Add, type another file extension and press OK. The descripti...

Re: stream read error

Hi,

Please download and install the latest version of Backup4all 4.6.263.
Also enable the detailed logs from Tools->Options->Logs and history.
Run again the backup and if the problem appears again, send us the complete log file to support[at]backup4all[dot]com

Re: Catalog File (.bkc) Size

Hi,

The backup catalog size is determined by the number of entries stored in it. with other words, in order to reduce the catalog size, you need to reduce the number of backup versions and file versions stored in catalog.

Re: Full backup after a set number of incremental backups

Hi,

You cannot apply the limit only for a specific backup type. If you can tell us what backup scenario do you want to implement, we will be happy to assist you.

Re: Full Backup every x incremental backups

Hi,

In this case, that option should be disabled in order for Backup4all to delete the older backups, not to merge them with the new ones. That will speed up the process.

Re: How to back up to USB

Hi,

I already responded you yesterday and today to your 5 emails with no answer from you.

1. What edition of Backup4all you purchased?
2. Please open Backup Properties->Destination and select Removable or External drive as destination, depending on the USB device type.
