Re: Restoring outlook 2007 files

Hi,

I need the restore log, not the restored files.
To find it, go to View->Job Logs->Last restore log and send it to support[at]backup4all[dot]com

Re: Restoring outlook 2007 files

Hi,

No, you don't need to tell the restore location. Backup4all will detect that.

If you try to restore the files (just for test) to another location, does it work?

Can you send me the restore log after you try to restore to the original location?

Hi,

Have you tried to start Backup4all using "run as administrator" option?

Re: Restoring outlook 2007 files

Hi,

Can you explain what did not work?
1. Were the files restored ?
2. Did you receive any error message?
3. Was the backup made from the same Outlook account?

Re: Destination Removable Drive Drop Down Empty

Hi,

No, that should work in both cases. The problem is caused by the restrictive permissions you set to the normal user for handling the external drive.

Re: Help, Check For Updates On v4.7 Does Not Pick Up v4.8

Hi,

We will fix that. At this moment, you can manually download version 4.8. It is fully compatible with your version (4.7).

Re: External drive out of space

Hi, If the merge option is not checked, the backup versions exceeding the limit will be deleted. In your case it was backup no.2. As backup no.3 and the following versions depends on backup no.2, you cannot remove backup no.2 and keep backup no.3 as you cannot restore no.3 without having no.2. This ...

Re: External drive out of space

Depending of the backup type used and the configured settings, the versions will be preserved or not. In Backup Properties->Type, there is the option to "Merge backups". That will merge the old deleted backup with the new created backup. If you used the Incremental backup type, each increment depend...
