Hi,

Please try to right click on your desktop and select Gadgets.
Double click the Backup4all gadget and it should appear on your sidebar.

Hi, If you check the option to lock the destination to that external drive, that means you lock the destination to THAT external drive. The backup destination must be in a different place than your work files, where you do not just edit the files by mistake.
