Re: Ghost Opening

Hi,

Please open Backup Properties->Task Scheduler.
Make sure there is no other scheduler set to start Backup4all.
Delete the extra scheduler you find there.

Also please check in C:\Windows\Tasks for old schedulers.

Re: Long start

Hi,

That depends on how many backup jobs you have in Backup4all and how large is each one. It also depends on the location of the destination drives.

Re: Restore backup from Outlook onto Thunderbird?

Hi,

You have to find a solution to import the .pst files in Thunderbird. Backup4all can backup your files, but not convert them to another format.

Re: Please help me to choose

Hi,

This forum is dedicated to Backup4all, so I cannot offer you support for another backup application.
Can you tell me your needs to explain you how to configure Backup4all?

Re: It looks like backup4all runs each schedules twicely when GUI opened

Hi,

Please open Control Panel->Task Scheduler and make sure there aren't two tasks for each job configured to run at the same time.

Re: Backup4all does random full backups!

Hi,

The problem was that the network source drive reported a different modified time for each file. That is why Backup4all detected all files as modified and backed them up again.

Re: Limit incremental backups to fixed number

Hi, The incremental backups include the new and modified files since the last full, incremental or differential backup. When the limit is reached, the older increments exceeding the limit will be merged. There is no limitation for the number of backup versions you can keep. Please note that multiple...

Re: Backup4all does random full backups!

Hi,

Please send me the following files to support[at]backup4all[dot]com
- the last backup log from View->Job Logs->Last backup log.
- the .bkc catalog file from the backup destination.
Put both files into a zip archive.
