Re: Req: minimum number of files to be backup-ed

Hi,

At this moment we don't have such a feature. No other user asked for such a feature.
We will put your request on the wishlist.

Re: Deleted Source files not deleted in mirror backup

Hi,

In this case we are talking about a mirror backup that should delete some folder from destination. For some reasons that folder cannot be deleted by Backup4all, so you just make an action that Backup4all has to do.

Re: SQL Error "UPDATE Backups SET BackupType = 1

Hi,

Please delete the backup job from Backup4all, then open the .bkc catalog file from the backup destination.
That will recreate the backup job in Backup4all.
Run again the backup.

Re: Backing up Appdata

Hi,

You can create a backup job for the entire AppData folder.
By default there are some filters to exclude temporary files from the backup. To see the filters, go to Backup Properties->Filters.

Re: Doing both differential and incremental backups

Hi, Yes, you can schedule a mid-day incremental backup execution for the same job. Please note the differential backup will copy all new and modified files since the last full backup, not since the last differential. If you run differential backups for a long period of time, it is recommended to run...

Re: Size of .bkc files GROWING

Hi,

In this case it is not recommended to clear the backup.
In your example, the backup catalog increased from Mar 2013 to Mar 2013 only 6.3 MB (per year)
I think that is not a reason to worry about.

Re: Size of .bkc files GROWING

Hi, If you use the "Fast mirror" option in Mirror, only new and modified files will be backed up. There could be files older since the first backup execution, so it is important to keep the history. If you don't use the "Fast mirror" option, all source files will be backed up each time. In such a ca...

Re: Zip error: Out of memory

Hi,

You can still try to limit the number of files in each zip file at a lower number.

Re: Problem with B4A and Windows 8

Hi,

Please wait few minutes (10 min), is there any bug report generated?

We have Windows 8 installed on multiple computers, none has such problems with Backup4all.
