Re: Location of temporary files in restore

Hi,
Changing the temporary folder location in Tools->Options should solve the problem.
In this case, please try to move some files from the C drive to G drive, restore the backup to C, move it to G and put the files backup to C.

Re: backup aborted

Hi,

Please make sure no other user/application is using this file Modest to NAS.bkc.
Also make sure you don't have Backup4all interface open and the "Modest to NAS" job selected while the scheduler tries to update that job.

Re: Problem with B4A and Windows 8

Hi, We have Backup4all here working fine with no problems under Windows 8 both 32 and 64 OS. This OS is fully supported by Backup4all and it is also listed on our website in the supported OS list. Can you tell me where you saw it missing? Some uses reported a problem with Backup4all running on Windo...

Hi,

Yes, you can make a backup of the Backup4all configurations. Here is an article about how to do that and how to restore the backup jobs: http://www.backup4all.com/kb/how-to-bac ... s-235.html

Re: "Action > Clean > Older than" date Filtering Bug

Hi, There is no bug in this behavior, let me explain you how it works. You have a full backup (from 05/18/2013 - which is older than 1 week). All subsequent incremental or differential backups are based on that full backup. Selecting the full backup to be deleted, will automatically select the subse...

Re: Newbie's queries on Advanced Options

Hi,

Yes, you can disable it, which means that criteria won't be considered when detecting the files to be backed up.

Re: Problem with B4A and Windows 8

Hi,

In DebugView, under Capture menu, select the first 3 options and go to File->Log to file.
That should generate a bug report in the log file location you indicated above, even if the computer will restart.

Re: Newbie's queries on Advanced Options

Hi,

1. If you use a different destination drive for each job, you should keep that option selected.
2. Are you sure the CRC32 criteria is the reason for the slow backup speed?
3. That criteria refers to files not indexed only.

Re: Exclude dates from backup schedule

Hi,

You cannot do that in Backup4all. You can only disable the scheduler from Backup Properties->Scheduler page and enable it back after that.
