You cannot trigger from Backup4all to start the backup when the computer is connected to a network.

Hi,

If you have access to the computer storing the backup files, you can install it there and load the catalog in order to perform the restore. Please note before that you need to deactivate Backup4all from the first computer as one license can be used on a single computer at a time.

Hi,

Is the VSS service working properly on that computer?
Do you get any VSS warnings in log?
Do you have the same problem if the files are not in use during the backup?

Hi,

1. Please make sure you have the latest version of Backup4all 5.5.839
2. Check if the bservice process is set to start automatically at Windows startup.
3. Please make sure the antivirus/firewall does not block the bservice process to run.
