Re: Support for detection of moved source files

Hi, The feature was not implemented in Backup4all yet. In your case, you can use this workaround: 1. Run the backup to make sure all current files are backed up. 2. Move the source folder 3. Open Backup Properties->Filter->Add include 4. Set the filter to include only files with "Date created" recen...

Re: Plex plugin enhancements

Hi,

Do you use a 32-bit version of Windows?
We don't have this key in Registry: "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Plex, Inc.\Plex Media Server\"

Re: backblaze b2 cloud backup support *wishlist*

Hi,

We implemented Backblaze B2 as backup destination, since version 8.7 of Backup4all.
You can configure it as S3 compatible destination.
Here is an article about how to backup to Backblaze using Backup4all: https://www.backup4all.com/how-to-backu ... ze-kb.html

Re: Understanding Cloud Backup

Hi, We are using SSL when uploading the files and this ensures the data integrity during upload. When the file has finished uploading we receive a checksum from OneDrive for the uploaded file. Re: Failure during long SFTP backups

Hi, This is how the application was designed to work. Changing it to work in another way means to change the entire application behavior. Of course there would be other disadvantages using the way you suggested, but at this moment the solution for such cases would be to save the catalog from time to...

Re: Failure during long SFTP backups

Hi, You cannot resume a backup if the connection is interrupted or the computer is restarted. In such a case, you could run the first large full backup locally in splits of 2 GB and upload them to FTP later (using your FTP client). Then change the backup destination to FTP and continue with incremen...

Re: Understanding Cloud Backup

Hi, We suggest you to split the files at 4 GB. For CRC, it's not the standard CRC32. When uploading the file to OneDrive we receive a checksum for the file content. Afterwards we check to see if the checksum calculated for the file is the same. Yes, incremental and differential backup executions cre...

Re: Understanding Cloud Backup

Hi, The backup steps you indicate are correct. 1. In Backup4all, you can split the zip files in smaller parts. Each split is created in temp and then uploaded, the temp file is deleted and then the second zip split is created. You just need to set the split limit in "Backup Properties->Compression" ...
