Re: Problem restoring Outlook files with customized prefix to rebuilt computer

Hi, I installed Outlook 2010 and backed up the email account I just created using the customized prefix you used. I deleted the Outlook email account and I deleted all backup jobs and settings from Backup4all. After that I open from backup destination the .bkc catalog file. I restored the account an...

Re: file not found in backup warning

Hi,

1. Is there any other previous warning for that file?
2. Please run a manual test for the last backup by pressing the Test (F9) button.
Let us know the results.

Re: Backup not working - making a full duplicate

Hi, You don't need to delete the backup from destination. The problem appeared because you probably changed the backup destination drive letter or you manually created a backup job with the same name. The solution is to delete the backup job from Backup4all (no files will be deleted from destination...

Re: Restore Not Found

Hi,

You need to open in Backup4all the backup catalog (.bkc file) from the last written disk. The backup job will be re-created in Backup4all. After that you can press the Restore button and follow the steps.

Re: Restore From Optical Disks: Too Many Disk Swaps

Hi,

Normally, Backup4all will ask you to enter the last written disk and after that it will ask you for the fist disk (in case of 2 disks).
No other swaps should be necessarily.
Please send us the last restore log to support[at]backup4all[dot]com to see what the problem was.

Re: Backup to several devices at once?

Hi, The second (mirror) backup should be faster than the first one to save your time. As an alternative you can create an exact copy of the first backup job to create another backup to the second destination drive and zip again all files to allow you to browse the sources in Explore view. That will ...

Re: Can't get diskspanning to work

Hi, Are there any files on the discs? Can you test them again manually using the Test (F9) button? Please download the latest version of Backup4all 4.6.253 and see if you still have the problem. As a suggestion for your backup, please open Backup Properties and uncheck these folder: - C:\ProgramData...

Re: Which BU setup for full hd restore in case of hd crash?

Hi, Backup4All was not designed for system backup, so you won't be able to restore the operating system. You should use Backup4all for data files backup only. We do not recommend to use Backup4all in order to backup system files / installed software. We encourage users to use it only for their own w...
