Re: Catalog File (.bkc) Size

Hi, You can reduce the backup catalog size if you limit the number of backup versions stored in catalog to a lower value. To limit the number of stored backups, go to Backup Properties->Type We recommend you to set the limit at 3 or 5 versions. Also uncheck the merge backups option to speed up the p...

Re: Better shutdown warning

Hi,

We consider the shutdown option in Progress view is used occasionally in case of a long backup when the user needs to leave the computer.
For regular long backups, we suggest you to configure the options in Backup Properties where you can configure more actions.

Hi, The solution would be to schedule all 3 jobs to run independently of the group on Sunday. First schedule Email_local to run a full backup. Then schedule Email_NAS1 and Email_NAS2 to run a mirror (these 2 can overlap). Email_Local and Email_NAS1/Email_NAS2 should not overlap (ex: schedule the ful...

Re: Problem restoring Outlook files with customized prefix to rebuilt computer

Hi,

Did you load the backup job from the .bkc file?

If not, then please delete the backup job from Backup4all then re-create it again from .bkc file.

Re: Backup4all Not Responding

Here is the path (for Win7):

C:\Users\<WindowsUserName>\AppData\Roaming\Softland\Backup4all Professional 4\bkcFiles\

where <WindowsUserName> is your Windows login user name ("Administrator", I guess).

Re: Backup4all Not Responding

No, I am not talking about backup destination folder. Backup catalogs are kept in two places: - backup destination folder - local catalog folder. You have to delete the catalog from the local catalog folder. To open that folder, go to View menu->Open Folder->Catalog Folder. Delete the .bkc file with...
