Re: Application does not close after backup

Hi,

Is the "Close after run" option checked in scheduler properties?
Please note that option applies only if Backup4all is started by the scheduler. If the application was already running when the scheduler starts, Backup4all won't be closed after backup.

Re: Access Violation error

Hi, 1. Please make sure you have the latest version of Backup4all 3.11.309. To download it, go to our website, on Download menu, you can select Previous versions. 2. Try again to open the .bkc catalog file. 3. If you still have the problem, please send us the .bkc file to support[at]backup4all[dot]com

Re: Wishlist: email success only when files added

Hi,

At this moment, it is not possible to use such conditions when sending emails. We will think about your suggestion in a future version.

Re: Backup aborted

Hi,

Do you have this problem every time?
Is the backup job in use by another application?

Re: New files and folders automatically added to backup

Hi,

In that case, you need to add only that subfolder in the backup sources (without the main folder).

Re: Question about setting a custom split size

Hi,

No other client reported this problem. Please make sure there is no problem with the device drivers.
You can set a custom size split to make sure the backup will be fine, or you can use blank disks.

Re: preserve NTFS access rights?

Hi,

1. If you want to also backup the NTFS permissions, you need to use the Mirror backup type.
2. To copy the NTFS permissions, please check that option in Backup Properties->Mirror page.
3. Backup4all will copy open files only if they are on a local hard drive.

Re: Question about setting a custom split size

Hi,

Backup4all will read the free space on that disk and will use it, if that is smaller than the split size.
