Re: Wildly inaccurate progress meter

Hi,

The estimated time is calculated based on the instant progress (upload speed for example).
If the upload is not working or it's very slow, the estimated time will be very long.
As soon as the upload speed returns to normal, the time will also be normal.

Re: Major error: "Too many copies"

Hi,

If there are major hardware changes on the computer or if you upgraded your OS, it is possible that Backup4all detects that computer as a different one. In this case, you just need to reset the activation on the provided link. After the reset is performed, you can activate it again.

Re: How to get the best performance

Hi,

Sorry, we compared only Intel Xeon Gold 5220 and AMD's Epyc 7302P.
Between all 3 processors, i7-7700K seems to be the best for what you need (backup).

It seems that AMD's Epyc 7302P has higher base frequency.

Re: How to get the best performance

Hi,

Backup4all uses a single core, that is correct.
As for the speed, please let us know:
- the source drive location (local, usb, lan)
- the destination localtion
- the temp drive location (if default was modified)

What is speed for creating the same zip file using WinZip (on the same computer)?

Re: Support for detection of moved source files

Hi,

Would you like me to connect to your computer and see why the filter did not exclude those files?
Or you have so many files modified since then?

Re: Support for detection of moved source files

Hi, The feature was not implemented in Backup4all yet. In your case, you can use this workaround: 1. Run the backup to make sure all current files are backed up. 2. Move the source folder 3. Open Backup Properties->Filter->Add include 4. Set the filter to include only files with "Date created" recen...

Re: Plex plugin enhancements

Hi,

Do you use a 32-bit version of Windows?
We don't have this key in Registry: "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Plex, Inc.\Plex Media Server\"

Re: backblaze b2 cloud backup support *wishlist*

Hi,

We implemented Backblaze B2 as backup destination, since version 8.7 of Backup4all.
You can configure it as S3 compatible destination.
Here is an article about how to backup to Backblaze using Backup4all: https://www.backup4all.com/how-to-backu ... ze-kb.html
