Re: Scheduled backups didn't run

I solved it: https://superuser.com/questions/885550/ ... valid-path

For some reason, maybe during a restore, B4a added quote on task > Actions > Start in.

I removed the quote and it worked today.

Re: Scheduled backups didn't run

Thanks for the support. Indeed there are no logs. In Task Scheduler, all of them have as Last Run Result "The Directory Name is invalid". IDK what this directory is. C:\Program Files (x86)\Backup4all 8\bSchedStarter.exe is in its place. Maybe this happened when I restored Win backup and then restore...

Scheduled backups didn't run

All my jobs are scheduled to run daily, B4a one before and after all others. First one starts 5PM and last one is 7PM.

Today none of them ran. There's no apparent message explaining why. How can I troubleshoot it to find out the issue and fix it?

Re: Restore backups after partition restore

Thanks, I'll try that.

I just restored Win backup, and noticed that all backups I had done in past few days aren't listed on Clean list, and indeed the last job I created is lost.

I configured and you suggested and created a new full backup of B4a, I hope next time I restore Windows it will work.

Re: How Long to Keep Files and Folders Backup

Hello, could you explain that in more details? Links to articles are fine. I have a backup job called MailWasher. It uses a plugin as reference for 2 sources: its Registry entries and its AppData folder. I see in destination I have a MailWasher.bkc file. I notice it's a SQLite file, but haven't look...

Restore backups after partition restore

Hello everybody. I have been using B4a for years, and now I upgraded my PC and upgraded B4a too to version 8 and configured it to backup configs of tens of apps. But I have a question. I'm using another tool to backup Win partition. I wanna keep this backup clean and restore it at least once a month...

Customizing backup file names

Hello, one more question. How can I customize file names? As default, it prefixes zip files with a sequential number and an underscore, then adds some description, or the letter C. Instead of the sequential number I want the date and time of the backup. In case of a plugin adding a description I'm o...

Restore Backup4all backup and recognize old backups

Hey all. Doing backups is useless if we can't restore them when needed. I've recently installed a clean Windows on my PC and started doing some actions to make it more stable and last longer. One of these actions is having backups of my apps, using Backup4all, and another is having backups of Win pa...

Re: Multiple destinations

That's sad. Because they won't be identical backups, if the source is read again in slightly different times.

I'd rather make a unique backup to a local place, then copy its files, synchronize it with multiple destinations.

What's the best approach for doing this synch?

Re: Multiple destinations

Thanks, but how does that allow multiple destinations? As I understood, a tag is a way for creating a unique schedule for sequential jobs. I'd still need to create multiple jobs for multiple destinations. For multiple destinations I mean to setup a unique job and add to it multiple destinations. Of ...
