Re: Admin rights necessary?

I did, but it makes no difference. I started the VSC service (which was not running automatically), but it didn't work either, because it could not create a shadow copy of outlook.pst.

Re: Admin rights necessary?

Well, thanks for the hint. I gave it a try, but... I opened the time scheduler and set properties to user accound Administrator and "start whether user is online or not" (I use the German version, so I do not know the exact terms in English). And I set the Administrator password, and then "OK". If I...

Re: Admin rights necessary?

Dear support, thanks for your reply, but you describe my problem, not the answer. I found that in general it is possible to start services as administrator. I started bservice.exe as administrator, it, but it did not work together with the backup4all program (it was not possible to start a job). So ...

Admin rights necessary?

Hi, I had Backup4All running on a Win 7 PC with just one user with admin rights. Now I switched to a new hardware running Win 10, having a normal user and another admin account. Now I find that Backup4All cannot copy open files anymore, e.g. from Outlook. That's pretty bad... Is there no chance to h...

Re: No more scheduled jobs

Looking for the log files, I see no errors or warnings that could explain the behavior. But what I found is that within the BackupTray logs there is one entry coming every minute as long as the pc is running: [12.11.2015 08:58:24] Die Datei "C:\Users\Diethard\AppData\Roaming\Softland\Backup4all 5\Ba...

No more scheduled jobs

Hello everyone, since a few weeks Backup4All 5.5.839 doesn't really work any more. Scheduled tasks will not be executed. Manual backups work correctly. I even deinstalled and reinstalled the software, only to find that the data of the old jobs were still there. So I deleted all jobs and tried to red...

Incremental Backup

I have a rather huge directory which I backup to my NAS using differential backup. The resulting backup zip file is nearly 6 GB big. But: each time the backup is initiated, it will store a COMPLETE backup to the NAS, whether any file has changed since last backup or not. From my settings, a complete...

Re: [solved] Outlook 365 / Windows 10

It turned out to be a network error, resulting in extremly low access speeds to the NAS server (several KB/s). So it has nothing to do whether with Outlook 365 nor Windows 10 nor Backup4All :o .

[solved] Error or not? Windows 10 again

Hi, one of my jobs is a differential backup of "My Documents" to a NAS. In the joblist of Backup4All, the job is marked with "error". But when I check the logfile, there is no error and no warning: [16.08.2015 14:31:39] Checking backup destination (Network) [16.08.2015 14:31:51] Opening file "C:\Use...

[solved] Outlook 365 / Windows 10

Hi, after switching to Outlook 365 and Windows 10 I have trouble with the mirror backup of the PST file. The PST file on the destination drive (NAS) is just 1792 kB, while the actual size is > 1GB. The log gives a warning: [18.08.2015 10:00:48] Preparing shadow copy [18.08.2015 10:00:49] Shadow copy...
