Hi,
Backup4all 9 was not yet released. We are working on it and we hope to have it ready in few weeks.
The backups jobs from FBackup 9 cannot be imported in Backup4all 8.

Re: Exactly how are OneDrive backups tested?
Hi, There are two parts here: 1. The test of the backup zip is made by comparing the checksum of the uploaded zip with the checksum stored in the backup catalog (not with the source files, as they might be changed since that backup execution) 2. The source change detection is made by comparing the s...

Re: Restore files from crypted .zip without .bkc
@mhmj It seems you also used the option to obfuscate the file/folder names, to hide their real names. The real name of them is stored encrypted in catalog, so you cannot get the exact source names without restoring with Backup4all. About the restored version which is different of the source: 1. Plea...

Re: prevent computer sleep during restore
Hi,
Backup4all prevents the computer going to sleep during the backup.
I made a ticket to extend that feature for restore process too.

Re: b4a failing to properly backup files
Hi,
Please follow these steps:
1. Create a new backup job to back up only that .ini file.
2. Before running the backup, open Backup Properties->Advanced page.
3. Uncheck the "Backup open files" option.
4. Press Save and run the backup.
Is the correct file content backed up?

Re: Scheduled "Tag" job breaks backup engine
Hi,
For the scheduled task created to start the tag backup, please go to Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Task Scheduler.
Edit that task and select "Run with highest privileges" option.
Do you have the same problem?

Re: Smartest way to replace a ”source folder” disk to a larger
Hi, If you want to continue with this solution, having the "created date" modified, you can set an exclude filter in Backup Properties->Filters, to exclude all files with "created date" older than the one you specify (the date when you move the files). This way, only files newer than that date will ...

Re: Smartest way to replace a ”source folder” disk to a larger
Hi,
Copying the sources to another drive will change their created date, which is one of the comparison criteria used by Backup4all. So they will be backed up again.
In such a case, a clone is recommended, to preserve the files dates and all attributes.
