Re: Always keep the first version
Hi, The most recent Full backup type is always kept. Only the next Incremental and Differentials executions are merged.
The last Full may include already changed file (or may not include the file at all!). The point is to ever keep the...

Always keep the first version

Hello, Please add option to always keep the first backed up version of a file. This is important, when obtaining an original is hard, and changes are easy to re-do and can irreversibly modify the original. Think of a photography or music - shooting a photo or recording a music piece requires much wo...

Re: Preserving "first version"

But the file added on Tuesday, when 1st backup was done on Monday, will not be in the first full backup, right? On Friday its 4th version would be created and backed up - will 1st version from Tuesday be preserved in such a case?

Re: Preserving "first version"

If I set up daily incremental backup keeping 3 file versions, 1st run on Monday and a file added on Tuesday and changed every day - will I have original version of the added file next Monday?

Hello,

Is this possible to set up b4all to always keep first version ("original") of a file. So for example 1st version and two last versions are kept?

Use of wildcard paths as Sources/in plugins?

Hello Is this possible to define Source paths using wildcards, fe. C:\Users\*\Documents to back up documents for all users on a machine? Similarly, is it possible to use such paths in plugins - for example to back up browser config for all user on a machine? This enables defining sources once for al...

Hello

I need to move backup source directory to another drive (drive letter changes).

Test reliability

When I execute Test action, does B4A check contents of the files, using some hash?

I've had some problems with my backup drive, and now I am running Test, and I would like to know, if Test reliably assures, that every bit of the copies are OK.

Regards,

Running commands for backup group

Hello

Is there possibility to run backup of a group, executing a command pre- and post-backup, as in case of a single backup job?

I use an external HDD as backup destination, and I would like to mount it before backing up a group and unmount after completion.
