URGENT

Now I even have installed B4A and opened the correct *.bkc file (on my laptop which is of course NOT the backup source PC). However, I can't see the backup's contents. B4A only shows the files on the laptop that have similar paths like the files on the source PC -- but not the files INSIDE the backu...

How to find latest backup of specific file without B4A installed

Hi forum & B4All Team, my backups are stored as encrypted ZIP files online (in "the Cloud"). Now suppose I'm in holidays and don't have access to my home computer. Is there a way to localize the specipfic ZIP file that contains the latest backup of a certain file? The related *.bkc fil...

Re: B4A backs up tens of thousands of empty folders :-(

Then I will try hard and hopefully remember that Date "modified larger than one week ago" in Backup4all terms actually means all files will be saved that have been "modified less than one week ago". http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s271/R2Garnets/Smileys/Smiley-Crying.gif (Hint...

Re: B4A backs up tens of thousands of empty folders :-(

The section of the help file you mentioned does not apply for you. I was under the impression that this section of the help file doesn't say anything why it would not apply for me. Automatically make full backup Make full backup when all increments exceed % of full backup size In time, the size of ...

Re: B4A backs up tens of thousands of empty folders :-(

1. The wrong way you configured the backup is that you perform a full backup if all your incremental backups have more than 24 MB. No. The backup was configured to run the full backup "if all increments exceed 50 % of the full backup size" -- because this is the program default and becaus...

Re: B4A backs up tens of thousands of empty folders :-(

Many clients wants to back up their empty folders. At this moment there isn't such an option to exclude the empty folders from backup. This obviously means that you changed your mind from there seems to be something wrong in the way you configured the backup into "this is normal program behavi...

Re: B4A backs up tens of thousands of empty folders :-(

As I assumed in the previous post, the empty folders are backed up only when you perform a full backup. But there is NO POINT in backing up (thousands) of empty folders. It's useless. Instead, it only creates the problems and hassle mentioned initially. Why do you do that? If you don't want to perf...

Re: B4A backs up tens of thousands of empty folders :-(

This has been discussed at length already with your support team. In the end I was told (about B4A's behavior to back up EVERY SINGLE folder below the source path(s) as empty folder when doing a full backup run): "This is how Backup4all was designed to work and cannot be changed." http://w...
