Sources and incremental backups

Post by Rebeccah »

If I configure an incremental backup job to include a folder and all (or just some) of its subfolders and files, then run it the first time, and a week later run it a second time (incremental), and in the meanwhile there are new subfolders and/or files present that were not there when I did the first backup, will the new files/folders be included in the second one? Are they included, because they are not explicitly unchecked, or are they excluded, because they are not explicitly added to the source tree?

Thanks,

Rebeccah

Hi,

If the new files and subfolders are in a backup folder that is in the backup sources, they will be automatically backed up.
Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html
