I am running Vista, and whenever I run Backup4all Standard 4, I get the warning from the Vista 'User Control Account' - 'A program needs your permission to continue'.
I usually click 'continue' and the program runs OK, but how can I stop this irritation?

You can avoid that only if you turn off the UAC.
