SFTP 10058 error

Postby Blower » Fri Jul 02, 2010 9:44 pm

Hello,

No problem with FTP settings for backup, but when I test the SFTP settings I get a 10058 error with the following notice

Cannot connect to the SFTP server
Can't send after Socket shutdown (10058)

I use the same settings with other FTP clients, including Filezilla. The server is at Globat.com, uses SFTP-SSH protocol, and I connect without a private key. I have not changed any of the default entries already on the settings page.

I searched this forum for 10058 getting no results at all. Then I searched the internet and from what I could read the problem is on the client, Backup4all in this case, with many different solutions depending on the client. As I don't know what to do on Backup4all to make the connection work, I post my problem here in the hope of having the necessary instructions to resolve this issue.

I'll be very grateful for the needed help.

Thank you so much for your help. As I said in another topic, I uninstalled the application. Now that I reinstalled the issue was gone. So it seems it was something to do with the installation that I wouldn't get rid of and you couldn't try my installation.
