Please go to Start->Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Services
Make sure the Volume shadow copy service is started and working properly.

I thought Bacjup4All started and stopped the service itself

Hi,

It does that under normal conditions.
If there is a problem (another application crashes without restarting it or other situations), the service needs to be manually started.

It seems to happen 2-3 times a week, which is more frequent than I'd expect.

The next backup went fine, but the service is now stopped.
