Backup at Shutdown - machine doesn't always shut down

Postby helenh » Wed Jan 12, 2011 5:29 pm

Hi, I'm using Backup4All Professional 4.5 for the first time and I have it set to do a fast mirror backup at shutdown onto a NAS.

I'm finding that the machine sometimes hangs after the backup is complete and it has started to shut down. It seems that it only happens when I first run a new backup and is OK on subsequent backups but it's making me nervous as I don't want to find that my machine has been on all night when I thought it was shutting down.

Is this a known issue?

I'm using Vista.

Thanks

Hi,

Please make sure you don't have other applications to start at computer shutdown.
You can also see in Task Manager which application is using your computer intensively.
