Re: OneDrive and BackupMaxSpace / disk space

Perfect. Thanks. as it happens I'd just worked that out myself!! For others let me explain the nuance: You get two options: (i) limit the back size to a % of the destination; and (ii) to a specific size. The default is 80% of the destination size *unless* you choose a remote location. If you are bac...

Re: Btray and Shutdown - workaround

Thought people may be interested in my workaround for this.

I create a 'shutdown.bat' and run that.

My shutdown.bat is a simple text file with one line: shutdown -s -f -t 15 -c "shutting down"

It works!

OneDrive and BackupMaxSpace / disk space

Hello all, I'm wondering whether v7.0.206 has broken something with OneDrive. I was successfully backing up with OneDrive. I'm now getting a 'Not enough backup free space to make incremental backup' error. I don't get this when backing up to local ftp. Note: I alternative between local ftp and oneDr...

Re: Btray and Shutdown

Nope. BTW: now running v7.0.206 So what i did (and understood from your suggestion) was to create a entirely new backup job in the new v7 and run that (as administrator). Backup successful, laptop not shutdown, no error msg and no obvious attempt to initiate a shutdown. AS per the previous attempts ...

Re: Btray and Shutdown

OK - updated to 7.0.199. Ran the backup job and nothing! Backup job was successful. No obvious attempt to shutdown the PC - certainly no error.

NB: the 'Show Tray icon' option is enabled. The task manager shows 'Backup4all - Shutdown Scheduler' as running.

Any other ideas please?

Btray and Shutdown

Hello all I'm running Backup4all Professional 7.0.181 and trying to get my backup jobs to shutdown the Windows 10 PC after a successful backup. Therefore, for the backup job under 'Properties > Advanced > 'Run action after backup' I've selected <Shutdown> to run on success. I was getting a Btray err...

Re: FTP and Linkstation - ***Resolved***

Hi, I finally resolved this. It was a Linkstation path issue. The path needs to be set as: /array1/SharedFTP/ where 'array1' is the default volume descriptor and, in this example, 'SharedFTP' is the target directory. My mistake had been to (i) us the prefix '/mnt/' which is apparently for a TeraStat...

Re: FTP and Linkstation

I had said: "Bingo - many thanks!" but that was premature! I had been able to successfully test the FTP connection. However, when i run the backup. I get a 'permission denied' error. From the error log: Cannot upload file "C:\Users\DRC\AppData\Local\Temp\Softland\Backup4all 6\7PSH1CU8...

FTP and Linkstation - ***Resolved***

Hi I'm trying to get Backup4all v 6.6 build 388 to connect to my Buffalo linkstation LS220D. I'm 100% sure it's not the linkstation as i can connect to it with FileZilla. I've set-up an FTP configuration under file>options>ftp using the same ip address as used in filezilla with the same user name an...
