Re: change existing job to limit number of increments

@support
I now realize that the screenshot I showed was BEFORE clicking on Type. It is exactly as you say once I click Type. Thanks for you patience and for answering my question.

Re: change existing job to limit number of increments

@support
Ah, I see. You must mean the Type section within Properties. That's the screen that I showed in the screenshot with my original post. It shows options to limit based on % and on size but not on the number of increments. Is that not an option?

Re: change existing job to limit number of increments

I click type and it just changes the sequence in which the jobs are displayed. I don't see any option to change increments.

change existing job to limit number of increments

I have an existing incremental job that I want to limit the number of increments that are kept. I don't find any place to do that. Other topic I see here refer to a save storage option. Where do I find that?[attachment=0]backup4all incremental job properties.

restore backed up file manually

I need to learn how to manually restore a file that has been backed up by backup4all. What I mean by "manually" is that I need to restore it without using the backup4all user interface. For example, a dir command shows the most recent entry as: "01/10/2017 10:12 PM 18,207,520 474_C.zi...

option to delete destination files when delete a job

Support tells me that when I delete a job, the software does not automatically delete the destination files, because it is a safety measure to protect the user. OK, I guess. Maybe the delete operation could give instead the user three options: 1) delete only the job; 2) delete the job and create a l...

tool to analyze log file

The log file is packed with lots of useful data, so much so that it's difficult for me to find what I'm looking for or even to know what all types of data are present. I'd like to write a tool that would help me isolate certain types of data and create a summary and/or an analysis from that data. Fo...

how to use named file filter

I have defined a named filter but cannot understand how to re-use it in a new backup job. In other words, I want to specify the same file masks I've used in another backup job, without having to re-type all of the individual masks again -- such as *.pl *.xls etc.

TIA,
Phil
